Date in Lower Greenville

Fred and I had a date in Dallas the other night, our first official "night out" with 0 kids! We've been on a few dates since Nathan was born but since Fred was home for the summer we always ended up going earlier in the day and a few times we'd take Nathan with us.

Well at last it was just the two of us, the night was young and so were we!

We headed to Lower Greenville and had dinner on the rooftop of HG Supply Co with the cities skyline on view and the sun just setting. It was grand! The weather was lovely, the atmosphere was on point, drinks were refreshing and the food is legit, grass fed beef, farm to table kinda stuff.

For dessert we had pizza at GAPC. Yes I said pizza for dessert, not a dessert pizza... an actual cheese pepperoni pizza. It was just a slice guys!

The best thing is that I was wearing Swedish Hasbeens shoes that Fred just surprised me with and I was so excited to wear out for the first time! It was a "just because" gift and he knew that I had been eyeing them for a while!

Good times with my man. Life with 3 kiddos is amazing but time alone together is the best. I love you Fred! XOXO.
My view was amazing!

Being embarrassing, snapping shots while I eat...

Burger Stack, grass fed beef over sweet potato hash, topped with sunny side up egg.
Moscow Mule FTW
oh so handsome!

Love You

Summer Picnic

Had a nice little family picnic at the Dallas Arboretum the other day! Packed our lunch and went early to try to beat the heat but by the time we left the heat beat us! We still had fun venturing around and trying to take family pictures! The boys are finally standing still long enough to snap a picture! Which makes my mommy heart happy! We cooled off with snow cones afterwards and lunch at our fave... In-n-Out of course! Summer lovin with my boys is the best!

Home with Baby Nathan

Luke & Noah have been the best big brothers. I was very surprised with the smoothness of the transition bringing Nathan home. Noah worried me the most, he's a total momma's boy, he's rough, emotional, wears his heart on his sleeve type of dude. I wasn't sure how he was going to react to having a baby in the house. Well he's been such a loving affectionate big brother! He kisses the baby, he's gentle with him, he lets me know as soon as the baby starts crying. He's been so sweet! And Luke has been awesome too! He calls him "Nafan." He tries to put the pacifier in Nathan's mouth when he cries and he tells me to give the baby milk when it's time to nurse! With three boys our house is definitely louder, messier, full of tears and stinky diapers but also full of smiles, hugs, kisses and cuddles. It's hard but totally worth it, they fill my heart!

P.S. We got them to sit still on the bed long enough to snap some pictures by putting candy on the bed! Hey, whatever it takes!

Luke's 3rd Birthday

We celebrated Luke's 3rd birthday on Saturday! We went in his room in the morning and sang him Happy Birthday! He lit up as soon as he walked out and saw the table setting. It was the sweetest thing watching how excited he was for his birthday. Then we took him out for donuts and chocolate milk! We made it a tradition to treat our boys to chocolate milk on the day of their birthday so we went to West Oak and got chocolate milk on tap! Yummy! Later that day we had friends and family over for dinner and cake. The kiddos had a blast decorating their own cupcakes, hitting the pinata and running around together. My favorite part of the day was when Luke walked up to me in the kitchen and said, "thank you mom my birday, gimmie a hug." I'm so blessed and grateful that I get to be his mommy. He fills me with so much joy, his smile from that day is embedded in my heart forever.
