Day 2 of Luke's Birthday Celebration!

Auntie Sel & Uncle Nick took Luke out to celebrate his birthday early! Uncle Nick is a firefighter so he will be working at his station on Luke's birthday and they wanted the chance to celebrate Luke turning 2.

They took him to this new spot in Frisco, The Coop! It was awesome, Luke loved it! Ball pit, toys, bounce house, slides, carts and so much more! Plus for adults they offer free wifi, comfy seating areas and even a cappuccino bar all this with a modern feel! It was just lovely and so much fun!

We're so thankful for Auntie Sel & Uncle Nick! Luke loves them! Can you guess why? They're just the best and super fun! Here's to Day 2 of birthday fun! Tomorrow my baby turns TWO!!!

Luke's Early Birthday Celebration!

We took Luke to the Dallas World Aquarium to start his birthday celebration early! Little guy turns 2 friday but we wanted to begin the festivities early!

He loved it, he was a little scared at first but then after seeing the monkeys he warmed up to it! He was a little upset because he kept wanting to jump into the water where the fish were! He thought he could go swimming with the fishies!

Afterwards we had lunch at the Bishops Arts District and ended the afternoon with coffee at Davis Street Espresso! Last year we gave Luke chocolate milk for the first time on his first birthday so we decided to make it a tradition and got him his very own chocolate milk to celebrate his 2nd birthday!

Birthdays are a big deal in our family and we have many more fun plans to come!

4th of July, 2014

This fourth of July we decided to try something new and I'm glad we did! We went to see the fireworks at the park by the Little Elm lake. That park is one of my favorite spots so we decided to try it out for the fourth.

It was just perfect!

Weather was just right, not too hot, nice crowd, live music, and we got to see the fireworks right on the lake. I think we will be adding this to our yearly family traditions!

Both boys really enjoyed it and thankfully did great even though it was passed their bed time, they also really liked the firework show. Family outings are slowly becoming less stressful and a bit easier to round up both boys and keep them happy with snacks!

The Lord is so good to us, we live in a country where we can celebrate our freedom. I choose to use my freedom to proclaim Jesus, to celebrate him above all and remember he has freed me from sin and gives me a new joyous life through him!

How good the fathers love for us!
